1st point:
This is NOT a thread to state your religion(or lack thereof) ignore all others. No flaming people for their religion.
Continuing on:
This is a thread to discuss different religions (or lack thereof) and actuall TALK about things. The big flashy words at the top are right, no one's posting anything, so there's not much point to a message board, neh?
My religion happens to be Presbyterian. It's kind of related to Lutheran in the fact that the guy who founded it read all of Luther's books and philosophies and stuff. He then tinkered with the ideas a bit and applied it to the daily life of the town he was in charge of. The people developed a strong work ethic and people from other cities noticed. When they sent their leaders to talk to him, they didn't like the whole 'religion' thing he was using, as it was different from theirs. So he was pretty much exiled, but the people there kept the religion and the work ethics that went along with it and kept the whole thing alive. Now it's a full fledged religion.
Presbyterians are pretty open. We're not judgemental, and we accept people for who they are. (Not necessarily ME, but in general, Presbyterians) So if you're of a different religion or are different in other ways, we don't kick you in the shins, call you a heathen, and burn down your village.
EDIT: I don't claim to be an expert on the history of my religion, this is what I got out of it. It was a long time ago that I asked my pastor about it so I don't remember it all perfectly.
